What is Arua Phinisi?Arua Phinisi is a liveaboard offering sailing adventures around Komodo National Park, featuring island hopping, snorkeling, trekking, and wildlife encounters.

Where does the trip start and end?Trips start and end in Labuan Bajo, Flores, Indonesia. Guests are picked up and dropped off at the airport or their accommodation.

What is included in the trip package?The package includes accommodation, meals, non-alcoholic beverages, snorkeling gear, water sports equipment, guided excursions, and pick up & drop off service to/from harbour.

What is not included in the package?Flights, hotel stays, National Park tickets, alcoholic beverages, personal expenses, and optional add-ons such as dive package, photographer, beach dinner are not included.

How can I book a trip with Arua Phinisi?You can book directly through our website, via email, or through a trusted travel agent.

What is the payment policy?A deposit is required to secure your booking, with full payment due 30 days before departure. Payment methods include bank transfers, credit cards (through Wise), and Paypal (with additional fee).

Can I modify my booking after confirmation?Depending on availability, we may be able to adjust your travel dates. Contact us as soon as possible to discuss changes.

What is the cancellation policy?Cancellations made for valid reasons may be eligible for a partial/full refund. Please email us for more details.

What activities are available?Guests can enjoy snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, trekking, island hopping, and wildlife spotting, including Komodo dragons. Diving options are available upon request for an additional fee.

Do I need prior experience for snorkeling or other activities?No, our experienced crew will provide guidance, and life vests are available for safety.

Can I scuba dive during the trip?Yes, scuba diving can be arranged as an add-on for certified divers. If you are not certified, introductory dive experiences are also available.

Is the trip safe for children and elderly guests?Yes, families with children and elderly guests are welcome, but some activities may require moderate fitness levels. Contact us for tailored recommendations.

What safety measures are in place?Arua Phinisi is equipped with standard safety equipment that is regularly inspected and approved by harbor officials. This includes a 25-person life raft, life buoys, life vests (for adults and children), fire extinguishers, VHF radio, AIS, emergency signals, basic first aid kits, and a trained crew members to ensure a safe journey.

Are meals provided?Yes, all meals are included, prepared fresh daily with a mix of local and international cuisine. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated upon request.

What type of food is served onboard?We serve a variety of fresh, locally-inspired dishes, combining Indonesian flavors with international options to suit all tastes. The menu varies on each cruise, depending on the fresh ingredients the chef is able to source prior to your departure. Meals are typically served ‘family-style’, where multiple dishes are placed in the center of the table for everyone to share.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences?Yes, we can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, allergy, and other dietary preferences or restrictions. Please notify us in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Are alcoholic beverages available onboard?Alcoholic beverages are not included in our packages, but you are welcome to bring your own with no corkage fee.

Is there electricity onboard?Yes, Arua Phinisi is equipped with 2 generators for a 24/7 power onboard, with 220V power outlets to charge your devices.

Do I need a power adapter?If your devices use a plug type other than the Indonesian standard (Type C or F), you may need a power adapter. Please bring one if necessary.

Is Wi-Fi available onboard?Wi-Fi is unavailable while sailing due to remote locations. However, mobile signals are available in most areas we cruise through if connected to the Telkomsel network.

What amenities are available in the cabins?Our cabins are equipped with air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom, light blankets, bath towels, swim towels, and liquid soap.

What kind of cabins are available?Arua Phinisi offers air-conditioned cabins with en-suite bathrooms, designed for comfort and privacy.

What is the best time to visit Komodo National Park?Weather wise, the best time to visit is during the dry season (April–November) for optimal weather and marine conditions.

Can I celebrate special occasions onboard?Absolutely! We can arrange special decorations, dining experiences, and even surprise events for birthdays, anniversaries, and honeymoons.

Are drones allowed onboard?Yes, you can bring a drone; however, flying drones within Komodo National Park requires a special permit, and some areas are prohibited. Contact us for details.
